Heat load surveys and system design in Ludlow
No two rooms in Ludlow gain or lose heat in quite the same way, which is exactly why rooms are measured before sizing. Hot spells in the West Midlands are shorter but intense, especially in loft rooms and rooms with big windows.
Every Ludlow quote starts with a room-by-room survey rather than a guess from floor area. Ludlow is about 24 miles from Telford and falls within our Shropshire coverage. Homes in SY8 are all within our coverage.
Prices in Ludlow
For Ludlow, expect roughly £385 to £1,195 for a standalone design pack, VAT included, adjusted for typical West Midlands rates. That is broadly in line with national guide prices. The design pack price depends mainly on the number of rooms and whether full drawings and equipment schedules are needed. On our West Midlands figures, the Design pack option (drawings and schedules for one home) is about £385–£795.

Planning and permissions
Since 29 May 2025, England's permitted development rules allow larger outdoor units (up to 1.5 m³) and no longer require a 1 m gap to the boundary, provided the MCS 020(a) noise check is met. Listed buildings and pitched-roof installs still need permission.
The survey
A survey in Ludlow usually takes one to two hours. We measure the rooms, check the walls and the consumer unit, agree the outdoor unit position with you and photograph the pipe routes. The free survey is where the real price is set: room measurements, pipe and drain routes, electrical checks and the outdoor unit position, all written into your quote.
