Heat load surveys and system design in Caernarfon
No two rooms in Caernarfon gain or lose heat in quite the same way, which is exactly why rooms are measured before sizing. Mild North Wales summers mean heat pump heating is usually the headline benefit.
For self-builds and extensions in Caernarfon, a standalone design pack can go straight to your builder. Caernarfon lies roughly 8 miles from Bangor, Gwynedd, and we cover it as part of Gwynedd. We cover LL55 and the streets around them.
Prices in Caernarfon
For Caernarfon, expect roughly £370 to £1,195 for a standalone design pack, VAT included, adjusted for typical North Wales rates. It is a touch below the UK middle, as trade rates in North Wales tend to be. The design pack price depends mainly on the number of rooms and whether full drawings and equipment schedules are needed. As an example, the Design pack option (drawings and schedules for one home) would typically be £370–£745 here.

Planning and permissions
Wales removed its old 3 m boundary rule on 1 June 2026, so most houses in Caernarfon can now have an outdoor unit under permitted development if it meets the MCS 020a noise condition. Listed buildings still need consent, and conservation areas have extra restrictions.
The survey
The free survey is where the real price is set: room measurements, pipe and drain routes, electrical checks and the outdoor unit position, all written into your quote. At the survey we look at how each room is used, where the sun hits it and how the pipes can reach the outside wall, then put it all in a written quote.
