Garden room and home office air conditioning in Loughborough

Garden room and home office air conditioning in Loughborough

For a garden room in Loughborough, the outdoor unit usually sits on a small stand behind the building. Summer peaks in the East Midlands make bedrooms under the roof the hardest rooms to keep comfortable.

Garden offices used every day in Loughborough need cooling in summer and efficient heat in winter. Loughborough is about 9 miles from Leicester and falls within our Leicestershire coverage. We cover LE11 and the streets around them.

Prices in Loughborough

In the East Midlands, our guide range for garden room and home office air conditioning is £1,395–£2,995 per system, including VAT. Labour rates in the East Midlands keep this slightly under the national middle. What moves a quote in Loughborough up or down is mostly pipe length, how high the outdoor unit goes, and whether a new electrical circuit is needed. On our East Midlands figures, the Popular option (3.5 kW unit with Wi-Fi to warm up before you walk down the garden) is about £1,695–£2,345.

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.

Planning and permissions

England's rules let most houses fit an outdoor unit without a planning application, as long as the size, number and MCS 020(a) noise conditions are met. Flats, listed buildings and roof-mounted units are treated differently.

We book surveys in Loughborough at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards.
