Garden room and home office air conditioning in Thurso

Garden room and home office air conditioning in Thurso

Wind and salt air in the north of Scotland mean outdoor unit placement and protection need extra thought. Garden offices used every day in Thurso need cooling in summer and efficient heat in winter.

We check the armoured supply cable on every Thurso garden room before quoting. Thurso lies roughly 81 miles from Inverness, and we cover it as part of the Highlands. Homes in KW14 are all within our coverage.

Prices in Thurso

Our Highlands, Islands and North East Scotland guide price for garden room and home office air conditioning is £1,295–£2,795 per system, VAT included. What moves a quote in Thurso up or down is mostly pipe length, how high the outdoor unit goes, and whether a new electrical circuit is needed. As an example, the Popular option (3.5 kW unit with Wi-Fi to warm up before you walk down the garden) would typically be £1,595–£2,195 here. Travel, ferry or accommodation costs for Thurso are not in these figures. They are quoted to you as a fixed amount in writing before you book.

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.

Planning and permissions

In Scotland, planning conditions for outdoor units depend on the property type and location; conservation areas and listed buildings need particular care.
