Garden room and home office air conditioning in Eastleigh

Garden room and home office air conditioning in Eastleigh

We check the armoured supply cable on every Eastleigh garden room before quoting. Summers in the South East are among the warmest in the country, so cooling often comes first, with efficient winter heating as a bonus.

For a garden room in Eastleigh, the outdoor unit usually sits on a small stand behind the building. We cover Eastleigh as part of Hampshire, roughly 5 miles from Southampton. Homes in SO50 are all within our coverage.

Prices in Eastleigh

Guide prices around Eastleigh run from £1,745 to £3,845 per system including VAT. Prices here sit above the national middle, reflecting South East England labour rates and parking and access costs. Concealed pipework, access equipment for high walls and any electrical work are what push prices towards the upper figure. Typical Popular work (3.5 kW unit with Wi-Fi to warm up before you walk down the garden) lands around £2,195–£2,995 in this area.

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.

Planning and permissions

For most houses in Eastleigh, the outdoor unit is permitted development if it passes the MCS 020(a) noise check (37 dB(A) or less at the nearest neighbouring window) and stays within the size and number limits. We run that check on survey.

The survey

A survey in Eastleigh usually takes one to two hours. We measure the rooms, check the walls and the consumer unit, agree the outdoor unit position with you and photograph the pipe routes. Surveys in Eastleigh cover heat gain, pipe routes, electrics, access and noise to the nearest neighbour, so surprises on the day are rare.
