Garden room and home office air conditioning in Wrexham
Exposed coastal sites in North Wales call for outdoor units placed out of the wind and salt spray where possible. For a garden room in Wrexham, the outdoor unit usually sits on a small stand behind the building.
Garden offices used every day in Wrexham need cooling in summer and efficient heat in winter. We cover Wrexham and the rest of Clwyd, including Buckley and Deeside. That includes the LL13 postcode district.
Prices in Wrexham
Guide prices around Wrexham run from £1,345 to £2,945 per system including VAT. That sits a little below the UK middle, reflecting typical North Wales labour rates. Longer or hidden pipe runs, high-level brackets and electrical upgrades are the usual reasons a quote lands at the top of the range. Typical Popular work (3.5 kW unit with Wi-Fi to warm up before you walk down the garden) lands around £1,695–£2,295 in this area.
Essential

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
Since 1 June 2026, Welsh permitted development rules for outdoor units closely match England's: up to 1.5 m³, two units on a detached home, one on other homes, and MCS 020a noise compliance. Listed buildings need consent, and conservation areas have extra restrictions on units facing a road.
The survey
Surveys in Wrexham cover heat gain, pipe routes, electrics, access and noise to the nearest neighbour, so surprises on the day are rare. At the survey we look at how each room is used, where the sun hits it and how the pipes can reach the outside wall, then put it all in a written quote.
