Floor console air conditioning in Ossett
Cold Yorkshire winters mean sizing for heating first, then checking the summer cooling load. If your home in Ossett is bay-fronted or period, a console often suits it better than a high wall unit.
Where a house in Ossett has a bay window, a console can sit where the radiator was. Our West Yorkshire coverage takes in Ossett, about 8 miles from Leeds. Coverage includes WF5.
Prices in Ossett
Budget around £1,295–£2,795 per room including VAT for floor console air conditioning in and around Ossett. Labour rates in Yorkshire and the Humber keep this slightly under the national middle. Concealed pipework, access equipment for high walls and any electrical work are what push prices towards the upper figure. As an example, the Popular option (quieter console with Wi-Fi control for a living room) would typically be £1,645–£2,245 here.
Essential
Standard console for a bedroom or study.
Popular
Quieter console with Wi-Fi control for a living room.
Premium

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
England's rules let most houses fit an outdoor unit without a planning application, as long as the size, number and MCS 020(a) noise conditions are met. Flats, listed buildings and roof-mounted units are treated differently.
The survey
We book surveys in Ossett at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards. At the survey we look at how each room is used, where the sun hits it and how the pipes can reach the outside wall, then put it all in a written quote.
