Floor console air conditioning in Swansea
In South and Mid Wales, efficient heating is often as important as cooling. If your home in Swansea is bay-fronted or period, a console often suits it better than a high wall unit.
Where a house in Swansea has a bay window, a console can sit where the radiator was. As well as Swansea itself, our West Glamorgan coverage takes in Neath, Briton Ferry and the towns around them. Coverage includes SA1.
Prices in Swansea
Budget around £1,245–£2,695 per room including VAT for floor console air conditioning in and around Swansea. It is a touch below the UK middle, as trade rates in South and Mid Wales tend to be. Concealed pipework, access equipment for high walls and any electrical work are what push prices towards the upper figure. For reference, the Popular option in Swansea (quieter console with Wi-Fi control for a living room) usually comes to about £1,595–£2,145.

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
In Wales, outdoor units of up to 1.5 m³ that meet MCS 020a noise limits are usually permitted development on houses; listed buildings need consent, and in conservation areas a unit cannot go on a wall or roof facing a road.
The survey
At the survey we look at how each room is used, where the sun hits it and how the pipes can reach the outside wall, then put it all in a written quote. Surveys in Swansea cover heat gain, pipe routes, electrics, access and noise to the nearest neighbour, so surprises on the day are rare.
