Floor console air conditioning in Egham
The South East sees some of the UK's warmest summer days, and south-facing rooms and conservatories feel it first. Where a house in Egham has a bay window, a console can sit where the radiator was.
If your home in Egham is bay-fronted or period, a console often suits it better than a high wall unit. Egham is about 8 miles from Woking and falls within our Surrey coverage. Homes in TW20 are all within our coverage.
Prices in Egham
Guide prices around Egham run from £1,645 to £3,595 per room including VAT. That is above the UK middle, mainly because labour and access cost more in South East England. What moves a quote in Egham up or down is mostly pipe length, how high the outdoor unit goes, and whether a new electrical circuit is needed. For reference, the Popular option in Egham (quieter console with Wi-Fi control for a living room) usually comes to about £2,145–£2,845.
Essential
Standard console for a bedroom or study.
Popular
Quieter console with Wi-Fi control for a living room.

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
For most houses in Egham, the outdoor unit is permitted development if it passes the MCS 020(a) noise check (37 dB(A) or less at the nearest neighbouring window) and stays within the size and number limits. We run that check on survey.
The survey
A survey in Egham usually takes one to two hours. We measure the rooms, check the walls and the consumer unit, agree the outdoor unit position with you and photograph the pipe routes. At the survey we look at how each room is used, where the sun hits it and how the pipes can reach the outside wall, then put it all in a written quote.
