Floor console air conditioning in Market Drayton
If your home in Market Drayton is bay-fronted or period, a console often suits it better than a high wall unit. In the West Midlands, sizing for winter heating first and then checking summer cooling usually gives the best all-year system.
Where a room in Market Drayton has deep cornicing or a picture rail, a console keeps the walls above it clear. Market Drayton lies roughly 16 miles from Telford, and we cover it as part of Shropshire. Homes in TF9 are all within our coverage.

Our West Midlands guide price for floor console air conditioning is £1,295–£2,895 per room, VAT included. That is close to the UK middle for this kind of work. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
In England, most houses can have an outdoor unit under permitted development if it is no larger than 1.5 m³, meets the MCS 020(a) noise limit of 37 dB(A) at the nearest neighbour's window, and there are no more than two on a detached house or one on other houses. Listed buildings need consent.
The survey
Surveys in Market Drayton cover heat gain, pipe routes, electrics, access and noise to the nearest neighbour, so surprises on the day are rare. At the survey we look at how each room is used, where the sun hits it and how the pipes can reach the outside wall, then put it all in a written quote.
