Floor console air conditioning in Folkestone
Where a house in Folkestone has a bay window, a console can sit where the radiator was. Summers in the South East are among the warmest in the country, so cooling often comes first, with efficient winter heating as a bonus.
Where a room in Folkestone has deep cornicing or a picture rail, a console keeps the walls above it clear. Our Kent coverage takes in Folkestone, about 31 miles from Maidstone. Coverage includes CT19.
Prices in Folkestone
Our South East England guide price for floor console air conditioning is £1,645–£3,595 per room, VAT included. That is above the UK middle, mainly because labour and access cost more in South East England. What moves a quote in Folkestone up or down is mostly pipe length, how high the outdoor unit goes, and whether a new electrical circuit is needed. For reference, the Popular option in Folkestone (quieter console with Wi-Fi control for a living room) usually comes to about £2,145–£2,845.

If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
In England, most houses can have an outdoor unit under permitted development if it is no larger than 1.5 m³, meets the MCS 020(a) noise limit of 37 dB(A) at the nearest neighbour's window, and there are no more than two on a detached house or one on other houses. Listed buildings need consent.
