Floor console air conditioning in Andover
Where a house in Andover has a bay window, a console can sit where the radiator was. In the South East, loft rooms and glazed extensions can climb well above the outside temperature on a sunny afternoon.
Where a room in Andover has deep cornicing or a picture rail, a console keeps the walls above it clear. We cover Andover as part of Hampshire, roughly 22 miles from Southampton. Postcode districts we cover here include SP10.
Prices in Andover
Budget around £1,645–£3,595 per room including VAT for floor console air conditioning in and around Andover. That is above the UK middle, mainly because labour and access cost more in South East England. Quotes move with the length of the pipe run, where the outdoor unit can sit and how much electrical work the job needs. On our South East England figures, the Popular option (quieter console with Wi-Fi control for a living room) is about £2,145–£2,845.

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
For most houses in Andover, the outdoor unit is permitted development if it passes the MCS 020(a) noise check (37 dB(A) or less at the nearest neighbouring window) and stays within the size and number limits. We run that check on survey.
The survey
At the survey we look at how each room is used, where the sun hits it and how the pipes can reach the outside wall, then put it all in a written quote. On a survey in Andover the engineer looks at room size, glazing, the route for pipes and drains, the electrics and where the outdoor unit can sit quietly, then the written quote follows.
