Floor console air conditioning in Poole
Where a room in Poole has deep cornicing or a picture rail, a console keeps the walls above it clear. In the South West, a system that heats well through damp winters is often as valuable as summer cooling.
Where a house in Poole has a bay window, a console can sit where the radiator was. Poole lies roughly 5 miles from Bournemouth, and we cover it as part of Dorset. Homes in BH15 are all within our coverage.
Prices in Poole
In South West England, our guide range for floor console air conditioning is £1,350–£2,950 per room, including VAT. That is broadly in line with national guide prices. The biggest variables are the pipe route, access for the outdoor unit and the state of the consumer unit, all of which the survey settles. As an example, the Popular option (quieter console with Wi-Fi control for a living room) would typically be £1,750–£2,350 here.

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
For most houses in Poole, the outdoor unit is permitted development if it passes the MCS 020(a) noise check (37 dB(A) or less at the nearest neighbouring window) and stays within the size and number limits. We run that check on survey.
The survey
The free survey is where the real price is set: room measurements, pipe and drain routes, electrical checks and the outdoor unit position, all written into your quote. A survey in Poole usually takes one to two hours. We measure the rooms, check the walls and the consumer unit, agree the outdoor unit position with you and photograph the pipe routes.
