Floor console air conditioning in Keswick
Where a room in Keswick has deep cornicing or a picture rail, a console keeps the walls above it clear. In the North West, heating efficiency is often the main benefit, with summer cooling a welcome bonus.
If your home in Keswick is bay-fronted or period, a console often suits it better than a high wall unit. Keswick is about 22 miles from Carlisle and falls within our Cumbria coverage. Postcode districts we cover here include CA12.
Prices in Keswick
Our North West England guide price for floor console air conditioning is £1,295–£2,795 per room, VAT included. That sits a little below the UK middle, reflecting typical North West England labour rates. Concealed pipework, access equipment for high walls and any electrical work are what push prices towards the upper figure. On our North West England figures, the Popular option (quieter console with Wi-Fi control for a living room) is about £1,645–£2,245.
Essential
Standard console for a bedroom or study.
Popular
Quieter console with Wi-Fi control for a living room.
Premium

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
England's rules let most houses fit an outdoor unit without a planning application, as long as the size, number and MCS 020(a) noise conditions are met. Flats, listed buildings and roof-mounted units are treated differently.
The survey
We book surveys in Keswick at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards. Surveys in Keswick cover heat gain, pipe routes, electrics, access and noise to the nearest neighbour, so surprises on the day are rare.
