Ducted air conditioning in Newton Abbot
In an older house in Newton Abbot, the loft and any existing bulkheads decide whether a ducted layout will work. Coastal breezes help, but inland South West towns and glazed rooms still see uncomfortable peaks.
For a renovation in Newton Abbot, the best time to plan ducted cooling is before the plasterers arrive. Newton Abbot is about 26 miles from Plymouth and falls within our Devon coverage. That includes the TQ12 postcode district.
Prices in Newton Abbot
For Newton Abbot, expect roughly £5,450 to £14,950 per system, VAT included, adjusted for typical South West England rates. That is close to the UK middle for this kind of work. Longer or hidden pipe runs, high-level brackets and electrical upgrades are the usual reasons a quote lands at the top of the range. On our South West England figures, the Zoned option (motorised dampers or two units for separate floors or room groups) is about £7,450–£10,950.

If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
England's rules let most houses fit an outdoor unit without a planning application, as long as the size, number and MCS 020(a) noise conditions are met. Flats, listed buildings and roof-mounted units are treated differently.
The survey
At the survey we look at how each room is used, where the sun hits it and how the pipes can reach the outside wall, then put it all in a written quote. We book surveys in Newton Abbot at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards.
