Design-led and low-profile air conditioning in Cromer
Long sunny spells in the East of England put conservatories and top-floor rooms under real pressure. For Cromer houses with decorated or panelled walls, a slim unit with concealed pipework keeps the room looking finished.
Design-led units suit Cromer homes with feature walls or open-plan rooms where the unit is always in view. We cover Cromer as part of Norfolk, roughly 21 miles from Norwich. Postcode districts we cover here include NR27.
Prices in Cromer
In the East of England, our guide range for design-led air conditioning is £2,045–£4,095 per room, including VAT. The East of England is one of the dearer parts of the UK for trades, which shows in the range. Longer or hidden pipe runs, high-level brackets and electrical upgrades are the usual reasons a quote lands at the top of the range. On our East of England figures, the Flat-fronted option (flat panel unit in white, black or silver for a living room) is about £2,495–£3,295.

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
For most houses in Cromer, the outdoor unit is permitted development if it passes the MCS 020(a) noise check (37 dB(A) or less at the nearest neighbouring window) and stays within the size and number limits. We run that check on survey.
The survey
We book surveys in Cromer at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards. The free survey is where the real price is set: room measurements, pipe and drain routes, electrical checks and the outdoor unit position, all written into your quote.
