Design-led and low-profile air conditioning in Tyldesley
In Tyldesley, a flat-fronted unit is a neat way to add cooling to a living room without a bulky white box. Damp North West weather makes the dehumidifying mode of a modern split system genuinely useful for much of the year.
Design-led units suit Tyldesley homes with feature walls or open-plan rooms where the unit is always in view. We cover Tyldesley as part of Greater Manchester, roughly 10 miles from Manchester. Coverage includes M29.
Prices in Tyldesley
For Tyldesley, expect roughly £1,745 to £3,445 per room, VAT included, adjusted for typical North West England rates. Labour rates in North West England keep this slightly under the national middle. What moves a quote in Tyldesley up or down is mostly pipe length, how high the outdoor unit goes, and whether a new electrical circuit is needed. On our North West England figures, the Flat-fronted option (flat panel unit in white, black or silver for a living room) is about £2,145–£2,795.

If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
In England, most houses can have an outdoor unit under permitted development if it is no larger than 1.5 m³, meets the MCS 020(a) noise limit of 37 dB(A) at the nearest neighbour's window, and there are no more than two on a detached house or one on other houses. Listed buildings need consent.
The survey
At the survey we look at how each room is used, where the sun hits it and how the pipes can reach the outside wall, then put it all in a written quote. Surveys in Tyldesley cover heat gain, pipe routes, electrics, access and noise to the nearest neighbour, so surprises on the day are rare.
