Design-led and low-profile air conditioning in Kirkcaldy
Mild Scottish summers mean cooling matters most in conservatories, lofts and rooms with large windows. In Kirkcaldy, a flat-fronted unit is a neat way to add cooling to a living room without a bulky white box.
Design-led units suit Kirkcaldy homes with feature walls or open-plan rooms where the unit is always in view. Our Fife coverage takes in Kirkcaldy, about 12 miles from Dunfermline. Postcode districts we cover here include KY1.

Planning and permissions
In Scotland, planning conditions for outdoor units depend on the property type and location; conservation areas and listed buildings need particular care.
The survey
Surveys in Kirkcaldy cover heat gain, pipe routes, electrics, access and noise to the nearest neighbour, so surprises on the day are rare. At the survey we look at how each room is used, where the sun hits it and how the pipes can reach the outside wall, then put it all in a written quote.
