Bedroom and loft air conditioning in Walsall
Hot spells in the West Midlands are shorter but intense, especially in loft rooms and rooms with big windows. For bedrooms in Walsall, we place the outdoor unit at the back of the house, away from neighbours' windows.
Top-floor flats in Walsall feel the heat most, because the roof sits right above the bedroom. Walsall lies roughly 8 miles from Birmingham, and we cover it as part of the West Midlands. Homes in WS1, WS2 and WS5 are all within our coverage.
Prices in Walsall
Our West Midlands guide price for bedroom and loft air conditioning is £1,145–£2,895 per room, VAT included. It sits near the middle of UK prices. Quotes move with the length of the pipe run, where the outdoor unit can sit and how much electrical work the job needs. As an example, the Popular option (low-noise unit with Wi-Fi for a loft room or main bedroom) would typically be £1,495–£2,145 here.
Essential
2–2.5 kW unit for a small bedroom with a short pipe run.
Popular
Low-noise unit with Wi-Fi for a loft room or main bedroom.
Premium

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
Since 29 May 2025, England's permitted development rules allow larger outdoor units (up to 1.5 m³) and no longer require a 1 m gap to the boundary, provided the MCS 020(a) noise check is met. Listed buildings and pitched-roof installs still need permission.
The survey
Surveys in Walsall cover heat gain, pipe routes, electrics, access and noise to the nearest neighbour, so surprises on the day are rare. The free survey is where the real price is set: room measurements, pipe and drain routes, electrical checks and the outdoor unit position, all written into your quote.
