Bedroom and loft air conditioning in Burnley
Milder summers in the North West mean designing for winter comfort as much as for a heatwave. Loft conversions and top-floor bedrooms in Burnley gain heat through the roof all day and give it back at night.
For bedrooms in Burnley, we place the outdoor unit at the back of the house, away from neighbours' windows. Our Lancashire coverage takes in Burnley, about 19 miles from Preston. Homes in BB11 are all within our coverage.
Prices in Burnley
Budget around £1,145–£2,795 per room including VAT for bedroom and loft air conditioning in and around Burnley. Labour rates in North West England keep this slightly under the national middle. Longer or hidden pipe runs, high-level brackets and electrical upgrades are the usual reasons a quote lands at the top of the range. As an example, the Popular option (low-noise unit with Wi-Fi for a loft room or main bedroom) would typically be £1,445–£2,095 here.
Essential
2–2.5 kW unit for a small bedroom with a short pipe run.
Popular
Low-noise unit with Wi-Fi for a loft room or main bedroom.
Premium
Very quiet model, concealed pipework or a flat-roof stand.
Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
In England, most houses can have an outdoor unit under permitted development if it is no larger than 1.5 m³, meets the MCS 020(a) noise limit of 37 dB(A) at the nearest neighbour's window, and there are no more than two on a detached house or one on other houses. Listed buildings need consent.
The survey
We book surveys in Burnley at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards. On a survey in Burnley the engineer looks at room size, glazing, the route for pipes and drains, the electrics and where the outdoor unit can sit quietly, then the written quote follows.
