Wall-mounted air conditioning in Droitwich
Inland West Midlands towns can see sharp summer peaks, and the same system doubles as an efficient heater in winter. In a semi or terrace in Droitwich, the indoor unit often goes on a back bedroom wall with the outdoor unit on a bracket below.
Where a home in Droitwich faces the street, the outdoor unit usually goes at the rear, out of sight. Droitwich is about 6 miles from Worcester and falls within our Worcestershire coverage. That includes the WR9 postcode district.
Prices in Droitwich
In the West Midlands, our guide range for wall-mounted air conditioning is £1,145–£2,895 per room, including VAT. That is broadly in line with national guide prices. Concealed pipework, access equipment for high walls and any electrical work are what push prices towards the upper figure. On our West Midlands figures, the Popular option (quieter mid-range unit with Wi-Fi control and better seasonal efficiency for a living room) is about £1,495–£2,095.
Essential
Reliable 2.5–3.5 kW unit for a bedroom or study, standard pipe run, basic remote.
Popular
Quieter mid-range unit with Wi-Fi control and better seasonal efficiency for a living room.
Premium
Design-led or very quiet model, larger capacity or concealed pipework through a void.
Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
For most houses in Droitwich, the outdoor unit is permitted development if it passes the MCS 020(a) noise check (37 dB(A) or less at the nearest neighbouring window) and stays within the size and number limits. We run that check on survey.
The survey
The free survey is where the real price is set: room measurements, pipe and drain routes, electrical checks and the outdoor unit position, all written into your quote. We book surveys in Droitwich at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards.
