In the South West, a system that heats well through damp winters is often as valuable as summer cooling. Where a home in Amesbury faces the street, the outdoor unit usually goes at the rear, out of sight.
In a semi or terrace in Amesbury, the indoor unit often goes on a back bedroom wall with the outdoor unit on a bracket below. We cover Amesbury as part of Wiltshire, roughly 26 miles from Swindon. Postcode districts we cover here include SP4.

Essential
Reliable 2.5–3.5 kW unit for a bedroom or study, standard pipe run, basic remote.
Popular
Quieter mid-range unit with Wi-Fi control and better seasonal efficiency for a living room.

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
England's rules let most houses fit an outdoor unit without a planning application, as long as the size, number and MCS 020(a) noise conditions are met. Flats, listed buildings and roof-mounted units are treated differently.
The survey
A survey in Amesbury usually takes one to two hours. We measure the rooms, check the walls and the consumer unit, agree the outdoor unit position with you and photograph the pipe routes. On a survey in Amesbury the engineer looks at room size, glazing, the route for pipes and drains, the electrics and where the outdoor unit can sit quietly, then the written quote follows.
