Prices in Skegness
Our East Midlands guide price for wall-mounted air conditioning is £1,095–£2,845 per room, VAT included. It is a touch below the UK middle, as trade rates in the East Midlands tend to be. Concealed pipework, access equipment for high walls and any electrical work are what push prices towards the upper figure. Typical Popular work (quieter mid-range unit with Wi-Fi control and better seasonal efficiency for a living room) lands around £1,495–£2,045 in this area.

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
For most houses in Skegness, the outdoor unit is permitted development if it passes the MCS 020(a) noise check (37 dB(A) or less at the nearest neighbouring window) and stays within the size and number limits. We run that check on survey.
The survey
A survey in Skegness usually takes one to two hours. We measure the rooms, check the walls and the consumer unit, agree the outdoor unit position with you and photograph the pipe routes. The free survey is where the real price is set: room measurements, pipe and drain routes, electrical checks and the outdoor unit position, all written into your quote.
