Wall-mounted air conditioning in Blackpool
A single wall-mounted unit is often all a bedroom or sunny living room in Blackpool needs. In the North West, heating efficiency is often the main benefit, with summer cooling a welcome bonus.
Where a home in Blackpool faces the street, the outdoor unit usually goes at the rear, out of sight. Our Lancashire coverage takes in Blackpool, about 15 miles from Preston. We cover FY1 and the streets around them.
Prices in Blackpool
For Blackpool, expect roughly £1,095 to £2,795 per room, VAT included, adjusted for typical North West England rates. That sits a little below the UK middle, reflecting typical North West England labour rates. What moves a quote in Blackpool up or down is mostly pipe length, how high the outdoor unit goes, and whether a new electrical circuit is needed. On our North West England figures, the Popular option (quieter mid-range unit with Wi-Fi control and better seasonal efficiency for a living room) is about £1,445–£2,045.

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
Since 29 May 2025, England's permitted development rules allow larger outdoor units (up to 1.5 m³) and no longer require a 1 m gap to the boundary, provided the MCS 020(a) noise check is met. Listed buildings and pitched-roof installs still need permission.

We book surveys in Blackpool at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards.
