Where a home in Farnborough faces the street, the outdoor unit usually goes at the rear, out of sight. In the South East, loft rooms and glazed extensions can climb well above the outside temperature on a sunny afternoon.
In a semi or terrace in Farnborough, the indoor unit often goes on a back bedroom wall with the outdoor unit on a bracket below. Farnborough lies roughly 39 miles from Southampton, and we cover it as part of Hampshire. We cover GU11 and the streets around them.

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
For most houses in Farnborough, the outdoor unit is permitted development if it passes the MCS 020(a) noise check (37 dB(A) or less at the nearest neighbouring window) and stays within the size and number limits. We run that check on survey.
The survey
The free survey is where the real price is set: room measurements, pipe and drain routes, electrical checks and the outdoor unit position, all written into your quote. We book surveys in Farnborough at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards.
