Wall-mounted air conditioning in Annan
A single wall-mounted unit is often all a bedroom or sunny living room in Annan needs. Long Scottish heating seasons make efficiency in cold, damp weather the thing to design around.
In a semi or terrace in Annan, the indoor unit often goes on a back bedroom wall with the outdoor unit on a bracket below. Our Dumfries and Galloway coverage takes in Annan, about 15 miles from Dumfries. That includes the DG12 postcode district.
Prices in Annan
Our Central and Southern Scotland guide price for wall-mounted air conditioning is £1,045–£2,695 per room, VAT included. It is a touch below the UK middle, as trade rates in Central and Southern Scotland tend to be. The biggest variables are the pipe route, access for the outdoor unit and the state of the consumer unit, all of which the survey settles. As an example, the Popular option (quieter mid-range unit with Wi-Fi control and better seasonal efficiency for a living room) would typically be £1,445–£1,995 here.
Essential
Reliable 2.5–3.5 kW unit for a bedroom or study, standard pipe run, basic remote.
Popular
Quieter mid-range unit with Wi-Fi control and better seasonal efficiency for a living room.
Premium

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
Scotland has its own permitted development rules for heat pumps and outdoor units, with stricter treatment of listed buildings and conservation areas. We check the current position for your property with you and, if needed, with the council.
The survey
On a survey in Annan the engineer looks at room size, glazing, the route for pipes and drains, the electrics and where the outdoor unit can sit quietly, then the written quote follows. A survey in Annan usually takes one to two hours. We measure the rooms, check the walls and the consumer unit, agree the outdoor unit position with you and photograph the pipe routes.
