Wall-mounted air conditioning in Castlereagh
A single wall-mounted unit is often all a bedroom or sunny living room in Castlereagh needs. In Northern Ireland, homes on oil or electric heating can look at air-to-air systems for efficient warmth.
Where a home in Castlereagh faces the street, the outdoor unit usually goes at the rear, out of sight. Castlereagh sits around 2 miles from Belfast, inside our County Antrim area. Coverage includes BT5 and BT6.
Prices in Castlereagh
Our Northern Ireland guide price for wall-mounted air conditioning is £1,045–£2,695 per room, VAT included. That sits a little below the UK middle, reflecting typical Northern Ireland labour rates. The biggest variables are the pipe route, access for the outdoor unit and the state of the consumer unit, all of which the survey settles. As an example, the Popular option (quieter mid-range unit with Wi-Fi control and better seasonal efficiency for a living room) would typically be £1,445–£1,995 here.
Essential
Reliable 2.5–3.5 kW unit for a bedroom or study, standard pipe run, basic remote.
Popular
Quieter mid-range unit with Wi-Fi control and better seasonal efficiency for a living room.
Premium
Design-led or very quiet model, larger capacity or concealed pipework through a void.
Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
Northern Ireland has its own planning rules for outdoor units, and conservation areas and listed buildings need particular care. We confirm the position for your property before installation.
The survey
We book surveys in Castlereagh at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards.
