Multi-split air conditioning in Larkhall
In a house in Larkhall with a usable loft, multi-split pipes can often run through it so the front stays clear. Mild Scottish summers mean cooling matters most in conservatories, lofts and rooms with large windows.
Multi-split is a good fit for Larkhall flats and maisonettes where only a balcony or one rear wall is available. Our Lanarkshire coverage takes in Larkhall, about 3 miles from Hamilton. That includes the ML9 postcode district.
Prices in Larkhall
In Central and Southern Scotland, our guide range for multi-split air conditioning is £2,245–£7,145 for 2–4 rooms, including VAT. That sits a little below the UK middle, reflecting typical Central and Southern Scotland labour rates. The biggest variables are the pipe route, access for the outdoor unit and the state of the consumer unit, all of which the survey settles. Typical Triple work (three rooms with mixed indoor styles and Wi-Fi control throughout) lands around £3,095–£4,995 in this area.
Twin
Two rooms on one outdoor unit, wall-mounted indoor units, standard routes.
Triple
Three rooms with mixed indoor styles and Wi-Fi control throughout.
Quad
Four or five rooms, longer concealed runs or a ducted unit in a loft void.
Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
Outdoor units on Scottish homes can often be installed without a planning application, but the conditions differ from England's, so we confirm the rules for your property at survey.
The survey
On a survey in Larkhall the engineer looks at room size, glazing, the route for pipes and drains, the electrics and where the outdoor unit can sit quietly, then the written quote follows. We book surveys in Larkhall at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards.
