Multi-split air conditioning in Andover
Hot spells reach the South East early, which makes spring the easiest time to arrange an installation. Multi-split is a good fit for Andover flats and maisonettes where only a balcony or one rear wall is available.
In a house in Andover with a usable loft, multi-split pipes can often run through it so the front stays clear. Andover sits around 22 miles from Southampton, inside our Hampshire area. Homes in SP10 are all within our coverage.
Prices in Andover
Our South East England guide price for multi-split air conditioning is £2,995–£9,445 for 2–4 rooms, VAT included. That is above the UK middle, mainly because labour and access cost more in South East England. Quotes move with the length of the pipe run, where the outdoor unit can sit and how much electrical work the job needs. Typical Triple work (three rooms with mixed indoor styles and Wi-Fi control throughout) lands around £4,095–£6,645 in this area.
Twin
Two rooms on one outdoor unit, wall-mounted indoor units, standard routes.
Triple
Three rooms with mixed indoor styles and Wi-Fi control throughout.
Quad
Four or five rooms, longer concealed runs or a ducted unit in a loft void.
Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
In England, most houses can have an outdoor unit under permitted development if it is no larger than 1.5 m³, meets the MCS 020(a) noise limit of 37 dB(A) at the nearest neighbour's window, and there are no more than two on a detached house or one on other houses. Listed buildings need consent.
The survey
A survey in Andover usually takes one to two hours. We measure the rooms, check the walls and the consumer unit, agree the outdoor unit position with you and photograph the pipe routes. Surveys in Andover cover heat gain, pipe routes, electrics, access and noise to the nearest neighbour, so surprises on the day are rare.
