Ducted air conditioning in Brighouse
Ducted systems suit Brighouse loft conversions and new extensions where ceilings are being boarded anyway. Cold Yorkshire winters mean sizing for heating first, then checking the summer cooling load.
For a renovation in Brighouse, the best time to plan ducted cooling is before the plasterers arrive. Our West Yorkshire coverage takes in Brighouse, about 12 miles from Leeds. We cover HD6 and the streets around them.
Prices in Brighouse
Guide prices around Brighouse run from £5,195 to £14,195 per system including VAT. That sits a little below the UK middle, reflecting typical Yorkshire and the Humber labour rates. The biggest variables are the pipe route, access for the outdoor unit and the state of the consumer unit, all of which the survey settles. As an example, the Zoned option (motorised dampers or two units for separate floors or room groups) would typically be £7,095–£10,395 here.

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
England's rules let most houses fit an outdoor unit without a planning application, as long as the size, number and MCS 020(a) noise conditions are met. Flats, listed buildings and roof-mounted units are treated differently.
