Ducted air conditioning in Isleworth
In an older house in Isleworth, the loft and any existing bulkheads decide whether a ducted layout will work. Many London homes are flats or tall terraces, where heat rises to the top floor and the bedrooms bear the brunt of a hot spell.
Ducted systems suit Isleworth loft conversions and new extensions where ceilings are being boarded anyway. We cover Isleworth as part of London, roughly 10 miles from central London. We cover TW7 and the streets around them.
Prices in Isleworth
In London, our guide range for ducted air conditioning is £7,195–£19,745 per system, including VAT. London is one of the dearer parts of the UK for trades, which shows in the range. Longer or hidden pipe runs, high-level brackets and electrical upgrades are the usual reasons a quote lands at the top of the range. Typical Zoned work (motorised dampers or two units for separate floors or room groups) lands around £9,845–£14,445 in this area.
Single zone
One ducted unit serving two or three rooms from a loft or void.
Zoned
Motorised dampers or two units for separate floors or room groups.
Whole home
Multiple ducted units with linear slot diffusers and smart control.
Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
England's rules let most houses fit an outdoor unit without a planning application, as long as the size, number and MCS 020(a) noise conditions are met. Flats, listed buildings and roof-mounted units are treated differently.
The survey
We book surveys in Isleworth at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards. Surveys in Isleworth cover heat gain, pipe routes, electrics, access and noise to the nearest neighbour, so surprises on the day are rare.
