Ducted air conditioning in Holloway
London's dense streets hold heat overnight, so top-floor flats and loft rooms often stay warm long after sunset. In an older house in Holloway, the loft and any existing bulkheads decide whether a ducted layout will work.
For a renovation in Holloway, the best time to plan ducted cooling is before the plasterers arrive. Holloway lies roughly 4 miles from central London, and we cover it as part of London. Postcode districts we cover here include N7.

Planning and permissions
England's rules let most houses fit an outdoor unit without a planning application, as long as the size, number and MCS 020(a) noise conditions are met. Flats, listed buildings and roof-mounted units are treated differently.
The survey
Surveys in Holloway cover heat gain, pipe routes, electrics, access and noise to the nearest neighbour, so surprises on the day are rare. A survey in Holloway usually takes one to two hours. We measure the rooms, check the walls and the consumer unit, agree the outdoor unit position with you and photograph the pipe routes.
