Ducted air conditioning across Dumfries and Galloway
Ducted systems suit Dumfries loft conversions and new extensions where ceilings are being boarded anyway. For a renovation in Dumfries, the best time to plan ducted cooling is before the plasterers arrive. Mild Scottish summers mean cooling matters most in conservatories, lofts and rooms with large windows.

Planning and permissions
Outdoor units on Scottish homes can often be installed without a planning application, but the conditions differ from England's, so we confirm the rules for your property at survey.
The survey
On a survey in Dumfries and Galloway the engineer looks at room size, glazing, the route for pipes and drains, the electrics and where the outdoor unit can sit quietly, then the written quote follows. Surveys in Dumfries and Galloway cover heat gain, pipe routes, electrics, access and noise to the nearest neighbour, so surprises on the day are rare.
