Conservatory air conditioning in Wigston
Summer peaks in the East Midlands make bedrooms under the roof the hardest rooms to keep comfortable. Conservatories and orangeries in Wigston can swing from too hot in July to too cold in January.
In Wigston, the indoor unit usually goes on the original house wall inside the conservatory. We cover Wigston as part of Leicestershire, roughly 4 miles from Leicester. Homes in LE18 are all within our coverage.
Prices in Wigston
Guide prices around Wigston run from £1,395 to £3,295 per system including VAT. That sits a little below the UK middle, reflecting typical East Midlands labour rates. The biggest variables are the pipe route, access for the outdoor unit and the state of the consumer unit, all of which the survey settles. On our East Midlands figures, the Popular option (5 kW unit with Wi-Fi for a medium conservatory or orangery) is about £1,795–£2,495.

HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
England's rules let most houses fit an outdoor unit without a planning application, as long as the size, number and MCS 020(a) noise conditions are met. Flats, listed buildings and roof-mounted units are treated differently.
