Bedroom and loft air conditioning in Chichester
Top-floor flats in Chichester feel the heat most, because the roof sits right above the bedroom. In the South East, loft rooms and glazed extensions can climb well above the outside temperature on a sunny afternoon.
Loft conversions and top-floor bedrooms in Chichester gain heat through the roof all day and give it back at night. Chichester sits around 32 miles from Crawley, inside our West Sussex area. That includes the PO19 postcode district.
Prices in Chichester
Our South East England guide price for bedroom and loft air conditioning is £1,445–£3,595 per room, VAT included. Prices here sit above the national middle, reflecting South East England labour rates and parking and access costs. Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
England's rules let most houses fit an outdoor unit without a planning application, as long as the size, number and MCS 020(a) noise conditions are met. Flats, listed buildings and roof-mounted units are treated differently.
The survey
At the survey we look at how each room is used, where the sun hits it and how the pipes can reach the outside wall, then put it all in a written quote. The free survey is where the real price is set: room measurements, pipe and drain routes, electrical checks and the outdoor unit position, all written into your quote.
