Bedroom and loft air conditioning in Rothwell

Bedroom and loft air conditioning in Rothwell

In the East Midlands, one system that cools in summer and heats efficiently in winter makes good use of the investment. Top-floor flats in Rothwell feel the heat most, because the roof sits right above the bedroom.

Loft conversions and top-floor bedrooms in Rothwell gain heat through the roof all day and give it back at night. Rothwell is about 12 miles from Northampton and falls within our Northamptonshire coverage. Coverage includes NN14.

Prices in Rothwell

Bedroom and loft air conditioning in Rothwell typically comes in at £1,145–£2,845 per room including VAT, based on East Midlands rates. That sits a little below the UK middle, reflecting typical East Midlands labour rates. Concealed pipework, access equipment for high walls and any electrical work are what push prices towards the upper figure. On our East Midlands figures, the Popular option (low-noise unit with Wi-Fi for a loft room or main bedroom) is about £1,495–£2,095.

Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.

Planning and permissions

In England, most houses can have an outdoor unit under permitted development if it is no larger than 1.5 m³, meets the MCS 020(a) noise limit of 37 dB(A) at the nearest neighbour's window, and there are no more than two on a detached house or one on other houses. Listed buildings need consent.

The survey

We book surveys in Rothwell at a time that suits you, including early evenings by arrangement, and send the written quote afterwards. A survey in Rothwell usually takes one to two hours. We measure the rooms, check the walls and the consumer unit, agree the outdoor unit position with you and photograph the pipe routes.
