Bedroom and loft air conditioning in Dundee
Loft conversions and top-floor bedrooms in Dundee gain heat through the roof all day and give it back at night. Mild Scottish summers mean cooling matters most in conservatories, lofts and rooms with large windows.
For bedrooms in Dundee, we place the outdoor unit at the back of the house, away from neighbours' windows. We cover Dundee and the rest of Angus and Dundee, including Arbroath and Brechin. Homes in DD1 are all within our coverage.
Prices in Dundee
Budget around £1,095–£2,695 per room including VAT for bedroom and loft air conditioning in and around Dundee. Labour rates in Central and Southern Scotland keep this slightly under the national middle. Longer or hidden pipe runs, high-level brackets and electrical upgrades are the usual reasons a quote lands at the top of the range. On our Central and Southern Scotland figures, the Popular option (low-noise unit with Wi-Fi for a loft room or main bedroom) is about £1,445–£1,995.
Essential
2–2.5 kW unit for a small bedroom with a short pipe run.
Popular
Low-noise unit with Wi-Fi for a loft room or main bedroom.
Premium
Very quiet model, concealed pipework or a flat-roof stand.
Guide prices show VAT at 20%. HMRC treats most fixed air conditioners and air-to-air heat pumps installed in homes as energy-saving materials, zero-rated until 31 March 2027 when we supply and fit them. If your installation qualifies, your quote shows 0% VAT and a lower price. Servicing, repairs, cleaning and controls are charged at 20%.
Planning and permissions
In Scotland, planning conditions for outdoor units depend on the property type and location; conservation areas and listed buildings need particular care.
