Home air conditioning in St Andrews
In central and southern Scotland, heat pump heating is usually the main reason to install, especially in homes on electric heating. St Andrews lies roughly 31 miles from Dunfermline, and we cover it as part of Fife. We cover KY16 and the streets around them.
Rooms and systems
Basement and garage rooms in St Andrews usually need a quick check of the supply and the drainage route before quoting. Smart control is a simple upgrade for St Andrews homes with a working system but no app. Design-led units suit St Andrews homes with feature walls or open-plan rooms where the unit is always in view. Ducted systems suit St Andrews loft conversions and new extensions where ceilings are being boarded anyway.
Design-led units, slim floor consoles and concealed ducted systems are all options where a standard white wall unit would look out of place. For a single hot bedroom or living room, a wall-mounted split is usually the simplest answer. Two to four rooms often suit a multi-split on one outdoor unit, while a ducted system hides everything except the grilles.
Guide prices in St Andrews

Installations are fixed in writing after a free survey; visits are priced before we come.
Planning and permissions
Scotland has its own permitted development rules for heat pumps and outdoor units, with stricter treatment of listed buildings and conservation areas. We check the current position for your property with you and, if needed, with the council. For flats in St Andrews, the lease and the freeholder's consent come first. Planning rules for blocks of flats are stricter than for houses, and we check them before quoting.
The Boiler Upgrade Scheme covers England and Wales only. Scotland has its own support through Home Energy Scotland, so check their current rules for air-to-air systems before planning around a grant.
